who runs this place?

Hi. It's me. Calcifer.

I'm 24 years old. I have sort of a dry personality but I will try to open up a bit here since you clicked on this page and everything. I have a bachelor's degree in fine arts that I'm doing nothing with, and I write a lot of fanfic because I am trying to unlearn shame. Don't know how well it's working, but it's fun. In the "real world", I take care of dogs and cats all day! It's pretty sweet.

While I both under and overshare about myself, I like to think I'm a mostly private person around strangers. In the past I have regularly 'nuked' my online presence and this website is an attempt to... stop doing that. I can get overwhelmed easily and be too aware of my digital footprint but simultaneously passionate about archiving and preservation of online resources and history. Sue me.

I consider myself an "old soul", someone especially fond of vintage and analog technology and its evolution over the years. As I've been trying to show on my site, I adore mixing styles, but try to keep everything visually cohesive for my own enjoyment and for yours.

I made this website because I want all my stuff in one place and I love seeing what other people write about themselves and their characters. Making headworlds and original characters is pretty much all I do with my free time when I'm not hanging out with friends or playing games.

So, yeah! I'm a pretty busy person but I update this site with regular frequency. Take a sniff around, dig yourself your own burrow, I won't mind. Be kind to others! And enjoy your life!
